I began my teaching career as a graduate student in Religion at Columbia University where I was course assistant to Professors: Robert Thurman (Buddhism), Jack Hawley and Rachel McDermott (Hinduism), Randall Balmer (American Religion), Peter Awn (Islam), and Chun-fang Yu (East Asia Buddhism). I taught my first full-semester course as a Core Curriculum Preceptor in Literature Humanities at Columbia College. Since then I have taught classes at New York University, Princeton University, and Brooklyn College. I currently hold part-time teaching positions at Princeton University and The New School University. Below are a few of the course that I have designed and taught. See my my CV for a complete catalogue of classes.
